Important Announcement Regarding Additional Application Period for International Students in Undergraduate Programs for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

Applications for the additional term of undergraduate programs from abroad for the 2026-2027 academic year will take place on September 8-9-10, 2026.

General information about the applications for admission of international students to our Institute’s undergraduate programs for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is provided below.

 

  • Applications will be made online through the application page during the application dates.
  • The required documents must be uploaded to the system.
  • Candidates will be able to make 3 program preferences during the application.
  • For IZTECH Undergraduate Programs, please visit https://en.iyte.edu.tr/academic/undergraduate-programs/ .
  • Candidates who wish to study at IZTECH with a scholarship should visit the Türkiye Scholarships page https://www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr/.
  • The application page will be active during the application dates.

TR-YÖS (ÖSYM Türkiye Exam for Admission of International Students): Applications of candidates who have obtained at least 300 points from the TR-YÖS exam will be accepted. The validity period of the TR-YÖS exam is two (2) years. Information about the TR-YÖS Exam can be accessed via the page https://tryos.osym.gov.tr/TryosYetki/Giris.

According to IZTECH Undergraduate Programs International Student Admission and Education Directive Article 7, paragraph 1, subparagraph d of the regulation, candidates with Turkish Republich of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) nationality (provided they have not completed or graduated from high schools in Türkiye or high schools in the TRNC that apply the Turkish curriculum) can also apply using the GCE AL exam. Applications of candidates who have an A* grade in the GCE AL Mathematics subject will be accepted. There is no time limitation regarding the validity of the GCE AL exam.

* The second stage exam is for among those who pass the first stage exam.

1. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application documents are complete. Applications with incomplete documents will not be evaluated.


2. Applications made by candidates who are selected from the main or reserve list and are entitled to register for the program will not be accepted if an additional application period is opened within the same academic year.


3. Attention to Blue Card holders:

  • Limited to the years 2026 and 2027; Blue Card holders who registered for the high school preparatory class in secondary education institutions in Turkey during the 2021-2022 academic year can apply to Undergraduate Programs from Abroad. Blue Card holders applying under this scope must also have had a Blue Card at the time they started their high school education.
  • Accordingly, applicants are required to upload their high school transcript and an e-signed and verified barcode document confirming that they started the preparatory class in the 2021-2022 academic year. Applicants must also upload their blue card documents and a detailed population registration certificate.

4. Turkish citizens or dual citizens (one of whom is Turkish) and blue card holders who have completed their secondary education abroad (excluding high schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) due to their residency abroad, must also upload a transcript from their secondary school showing the “Courses Completed with Certificate” section, if such a section exists in their high school transcript. Accordingly, applicants must clearly document that they completed their entire high school education abroad. (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901: “A child born within or outside Turkey to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a marriage is a Turkish citizen.”)


5. Foreign nationals who have completed their entire high school education in Embassy schools in Turkey / international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS system are required to upload an e-signed and verification barcode document from their secondary education institution confirming that they have received education within this scope.


6. Foreign nationals who have come to our country within the framework of a project conducted by the Ministry of National Education or the Higher Education Council in secondary education (high school) institutions in Turkey are required to upload an e-signed and verification barcode document from their secondary education institution confirming that they have received education within this scope.

7. Candidates who are accepted will receive an electronic acceptance letter from the International Relations Office to their application email address.

8. Students who gain admission to our institute as a result of international student admissions must submit a document showing that they have sufficient financial means to continue their education in our country, amounting to the USD equivalent of 80,000 TL (Turkish Lira), during registration.

9. Tuition fees paid by candidates who withdraw their registration rights will not be refunded.

10. Candidates who gain admission rights during the additional application period are obliged to personally come to the IYTE Student Affairs Directorate between September 17-18, 2026, and submit the original copies of the relevant documents. Registration procedures cannot be completed for those who do not submit the original documents between September 17-18, 2026.

11. Candidates who make false statements or are found to have misled the administration in any way will not be registered. Tuition fees paid by these candidates will not be refunded.

The following documents will be uploaded to the system electronically:

1. Required Exam for Application and Validity Period:

  • TR-YÖS (ÖSYM Türkiye Exam for Admission of International Students): Applications of candidates who have obtained at least 300 points from the TR-YÖS exam will be accepted. The validity period of the TR-YÖS exam is two (2) years. When entering the exam score, write your score exactly as stated on the exam result document. Do not round it.

(If the document is not in English or Turkish:

  • If the candidate is outside of Türkiye: a translation approved by the foreign representative offices of Türkiye
  • If the candidate is in Türkiye: a translation made by a sworn translator and approved by a notary public)

8. “Entry/Exit Document” covering the entire duration of secondary education for Turkish citizens or dual nationals, one of whose nationalities is Turkish, who were obligated to complete their secondary education in high schools abroad (excluding TRNC high schools) due to being abroad.

9. Candidates who, due to their residence abroad, were required to complete their secondary education in high schools abroad (excluding high schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), and who are Turkish citizens or dual citizens with one Turkish nationality, as well as candidates with a blue card, must also upload a transcript from their secondary education institution showing the “Courses Completed with a Certificate” section in their high school transcript, if such a section exists. Accordingly, candidates must clearly document that they completed their entire high school education abroad. (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901: “A child born within or outside Turkey to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a marriage is a Turkish citizen.”)
10. Foreign nationals who have completed their entire high school education in embassy schools in Turkey / international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS system are required to upload an e-signed and verification barcode document obtained from their secondary education institution stating that they have received education within this scope.
11. Foreign nationals who have come to our country within the framework of a project carried out by the Ministry of National Education or the Higher Education Council in secondary education (high school) institutions in Turkey are required to upload an e-signed and verification barcode document obtained from their secondary education institution stating that they have received education within this scope.

12. Candidates holding a blue card who registered for a high school preparatory class in a secondary education institution in Turkey during the 2021-2022 academic year are required to upload their high school transcript and an e-signed and verified barcode document confirming their enrollment in the preparatory class in the 2021-2022 academic year. They are also required to upload their blue card documents and a detailed population registration certificate.

Candidates under this condition are required to upload the document.

Provided that they are in their final year of high school or have graduated;

Applications will be accepted from:

a) Foreign nationals (provided they have not received/graduated from secondary education institutions in Türkiye [excluding foreign nationals who have completed their entire high school education in embassy schools/international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS system, and foreign nationals who have come to our country within the framework of projects conducted by the Ministry of National Education or the Higher Education Council])

(Limited to the years 2026 and 2027, blue card holders who enrolled in a high school preparatory class at a secondary education institution in Turkiye during the 2021-2022 academic year can apply to Bachelor’s Programs from Abroad. Applicants with blue cards must also have held a blue card at the time they began their high school education.)

b) Those who were born Turkish citizens but lost their Turkish citizenship by obtaining permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce it, and those who can document that they hold a blue card issued to those who have lost Turkish citizenship upon request (provided they have not received/graduated from secondary education institutions in Turkey and the TRNC) (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901: “A child born within or outside Türkiye to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a marriage is a Turkish citizen.”)

c) Those who acquired Turkish citizenship later while being foreign nationals / dual nationals in this situation (provided they have not received/graduated from secondary education institutions in Türkiye or the TRNC),

d) Turkish nationals who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the TRNC (including those who completed their entire secondary education [high school] in Turkish schools opened under the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country outside the TRNC),

e) TRNC nationals (provided they have not received/graduated from high schools in Türkiye / high schools applying the Turkish curriculum in the TRNC) who meet the criteria specified in the GCE AL, TR-YÖS, or the application and admission guidelines approved by the Council of Higher Education of higher education institutions (Applicants to our Institute must have an A* grade in GCE AL Mathematics).

a) Turkish citizens who have completed all of their secondary education (high school) in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC),

b) TRNC citizens / dual citizens with one TRNC nationality having completed or graduated from high schools in Türkiye / high schools in the TRNC that apply the Turkish curriculum,

c) Those whose first nationality at birth is Turkish, as defined in Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901: “A child born within or outside Türkiye to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a marriage is a Turkish citizen.”, dual nationals (excluding Turkish citizens who have completed all of their secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the TRNC (including those who have completed all of their secondary education [high school] in Turkish schools opened under the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country outside the TRNC)),

d) Turkish citizens or dual nationals whose first nationality by birth is Turkish as defined in Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901, who received their education in schools within embassies in Türkiye or in foreign high schools located in Türkiye,

e) 1) Turkish Cypriot citizens and those who have renounced their Turkish citizenship/Blue Card holders who are studying or have graduated from secondary education (high school) institutions in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

2) Foreign nationals who are studying or have graduated from secondary education (high school) institutions in Türkiye (excluding foreign nationals who have completed their high school education in embassy schools/international private educational institutions listed in the MOBIS system, and foreign nationals who have come to our country within the framework of projects conducted by the Ministry of National Education or the Higher Education Council)

f) Those who have received a disciplinary expulsion from a higher education institution in Türkiye,

Their applications will not be accepted.

Placement by the commission is carried out considering priority countries as follows.

a) Exam scores required for application are ranked from highest to lowest to create an evaluation list.

b) Placement begins with the candidate with the highest score. The candidate is first attempted to be placed in their first choice; if the quota for the preferred department is full, subsequent choices are tried in order.

c) If the quotas in all three of the candidate’s choices are full, the candidate cannot be placed.

d) In case of candidates having equal scores;

1) The order of preference is considered first.

2) If the tie continues, priority is given to the candidate with the higher overall grade point average GPA (on a 100-point scale).

3) If the tie still continues, priority is given to the younger candidate and placement is made accordingly

e) Primary and substitute candidates are determined according to the quota among the candidates.

All courses at all faculties at IZTECH is 100% English. 

Students have the chance to study English for a preparatory year at IZTECH.

SBS (English Proficiency Exam) of the School of Foreign Languages of IZTECH can be performed in single or multi-stage.
