IZTECH became one of the two Turkish universities with the HRS4R award!

On February 14, 2023, İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) was awarded the “Human Resources Excellence in Research” award and logo by the European Commission.

The opening meeting, held in hybrid format at the Environmental Engineering building on Wednesday, April 26, aimed to inform IZTECH members about the HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) application process and the Post-Award Implementation Stage.

The meeting, which started with a speech by Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran , continued with informational presentations by Prof. Dr. Volga Bulmuş on “IZTECH’s HRS4R Journey” and Prof. Dr. Orhan Gündüz on “HRS4R Implementation Plan.”

After the meeting, the HRS4R Working Groups came together to evaluate their tasks and action plans.

Achieving the HRS4R logo and award will provide IZTECH with a research/researcher ecosystem that meets European standards and contributes to IZTECH’s path towards becoming a World University.
