IZTECH faculty members attended the “Water Days” conference organized by Goethe-Institut Izmir
The Goethe-Institut Izmir organized the conference “Our Water – Water Days Izmir” to draw attention to the sustainable use of water. The conference, which brought together Turkish-German experts and entrepreneurs, discussed the importance of water for the future of our planet, with a focus on Izmir.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Eser Ökten, the Director of the International Office and faculty member of the Department of Environmental Engineering, and Dr. Nicel Saygın, a faculty member of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, participated as speakers in the “Scientific Perspectives” panel of the conference.
The panel, moderated by Dr. Bengü Aydın Dikmen from the International Office, addressed the topics of “nature-based solutions to the water crisis” and “sustainable water management.”
